Congratulations Spring 2026 Massage Therapy Graduates!
Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy proudly celebrates our newest class of graduates on April 24, 2026. After 10.5 months of intensive training and completing a 650-hour massage therapy program, these dedicated students have reached an exciting milestone in their professional journey.
At a time when massage therapy was often misunderstood or seen as a luxury service, we set a higher standard—training our students to become skilled healthcare professionals.
A Career That Embraces Diversity and Growth
Massage therapy is more than a job, it’s a people-centered, healthcare-focused career that values compassion, skill, and diversity. At CIMT, we’re proud to support and reflect on these changes within the industry.
Since 1985, Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy has been a leader in medical massage education, helping redefine the profession. At a time when massage therapy was often misunderstood or seen as a luxury service, we set a higher standard—training our students to become skilled healthcare professionals.
A Changing Industry: More Men Entering Massage Therapy
Our graduating Spring class, which began on June 3, 2025, made history here at CIMT. For the first time, nearly 60% of the class was male—the highest percentage in our school’s history.
While this class includes 12 students, it represents something much larger: a shift in the massage therapy profession.
Across the industry, more men are pursuing careers in massage therapy, contributing to a field that is becoming increasingly diverse and inclusive. Historically female-dominated, massage therapy is evolving into a profession that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds.
Start Your Journey in Massage Therapy
As one of the select few schools in Colorado accredited by the prestigious Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), and one of the few in the country offering certification in Neuromuscular Therapy, we provide a premier education from a school that is a leader in massage therapy education.
COMTA elevates and upholds standards of excellence in massage therapy education through a rigorous accreditation process which benefits students, practitioners, and the public.
Our all-inclusive 650-Hour certification provides training in Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish, Integrative techniques, and medical massage therapy.
Neuromuscular Therapy is a specialized trigger point therapy aimed at alleviating chronic muscle and nervous system disorders and problems. The American Academy of Pain Management recognizes that this massage method is an effective treatment for soft tissue injuries, especially in the back. Therapies learned in this medical-based program will launch you into a practice that prepares you to work with physical therapists, chiropractors, and physicians that are dealing with rehabilitative treatments.
If you’re inspired by our graduates and interested in a rewarding, in-demand career, explore how CIMT can help you get started in massage therapy training today.
